Tesla has opened yet another Supercharger station in Surrey, British Columbia, further cementing its status as the unofficial Supercharger capital of the province, and across the country.
Construction on Surrey’s fifth Supercharger began in April, just a few days after it was discovered that the fourth Supercharger was under construction. This fifth Supercharger is located in the parking lot of the Real Canadian Superstore at 7588 King George Blvd in central Surrey, and a little over four months later technicians turned it on earlier this week.
After the switch to kWh billing earlier this month, charging fees at this Supercharger are a flat rate of $0.30 per kWh.

The site features 12 V3 Supercharger stalls, bringing the total number of stalls in Surrey to 68 spread across the five different locations.
There is one other Supercharger under construction in the lower mainland, and that’s just across the river in Coquitlam, where a 12 stall Supercharger is being built just off Lougheed Hwy. Construction has actually been complete for several months but it is just awaiting activation, so with Surrey coming online this week we should hopefully see Coquitlam’s second Supercharger switched on soon as well.
