Tesla launches next round of Supercharger Voting, announces Q1 2023 winners

It is the start of a new quarter, which also means a new round of Supercharger Voting. Tesla has announced the winners of the Q1 2023 voting round, revealing five winners in three regions, and five bonus winners from around the world, including one in Canada.

Supercharger Voting first started in October last year, giving Tesla account holders the opportunity to vote on where some of the next Supercharger locations should be. Voting was categorized based on regions, meaning Canada was lumped in with the US, putting us at a distinct disadvantage based on population size alone. This led to a shutout in the first Supercharger voting round, with all five North American winning locations being in the US.

Unfortunately that didn’t change for the second round, with US-based locations again taking all five winning spots in Q1 voting. However, Tesla did announce five bonus locations, and Bromont, Quebec was able to break the shutout for Canada as one of those winners.

You can now vote on the next round of Supercharger locations. There are many across Canada, but already they are far behind the pack with the leading site right now being Calgary in 28th place in North America (204 votes). You can also suggest new locations to be added in future rounds.

Here are the winners from the Q1 2023 Supercharger Voting round. All of these sites have been added to Tesla’s Supercharger map with a targeted opening date of 2024.
