Tesla Giga Texas Belt Buckles handed out to factory employees

At the company’s 2021 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, CEO Elon Musk announced Tesla was moving their headquarters from Palo Alto, California to Austin, Texas.

Shortly after the announcement, Tesla board member and Elon’s brother, Kimbal Musk, shared a photo of a new Giga Texas belt buckle.

Tesla fans were hoping the massive belt buckle would make its way to the Tesla Shop, but it hasn’t been added…yet.

As a show of appreciation, Tesla has started handing them out to employees at the new factory.

One of those employees, Chris, shared a photo of his new fashion statement on Facebook.

The belt buckle comes in Tesla’s signature black packaging, emblazoned with the words “Tesla Giga Texas Belt Buckle.”

Given the official packaging, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the belt buckle be added to the Tesla Shop one day.

UPDATE: Chris tells Drive Tesla that only 1,500 were made, and all will be given to Tesla employees.

UPDATE: One of our readers spotted a belt buckle posted on eBay for the low price of just $20,000 USD. According to the posting less than 1,500 will be made. (h/t: Chris P)

That might happen after the factory is open, but Tesla has made no announcements about its public availability.
