Tesla continues to forge ahead with construction at Giga Berlin [Video update]

With the rest of the world quickly shutting down due to the coronavirus COVIC-19 outbreak, including Tesla’s factories in the US, crews in Germany are making quick progress at the site of the future Giga Berlin.

Even though Tesla earlier this month sent US employees back home ahead of the Trump travel ban, work has continued at the site.

From the latest drone footage at the site, similar to the numerous updates we saw during the construction of Giga Shanghai, crews have been working to level and prepare the site for the foundations of the future buildings.

Tesla had hoped to complete construction on the new factory in 2021, and begin production next year. With the impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak, it is unknown if Tesla will be able to stick to that aggressive time schedule. But so far, Tesla appears to be close to staying on track.
