Tesla building sixth Supercharger station in Surrey [British Columbia]

Tesla is building yet another Supercharger station in the Surrey, British Columbia. This is the sixth station for Surrey, a city just outside of Vancouver that has one of the highest number of Tesla owners per capita in the country, if not North America.

The new Supercharger is located in the parking lot of the Strawberry Hill Shopping Center (12161 72 Ave), near the Cineplex movie theater. According to photos shared with us by one of our followers on X, @Longurr, and on TMC, construction looks nearly complete, with 11 of the 12 charging posts already installed, repaving and line painting complete, and the transformer also in place at the site.

This new Surrey Supercharger is also a V4 Supercharger, although technically it is a V3.5 Supercharger as it still offers the same 250kW peak charging speeds as V3 stations. It will however have longer charging cables making it easier for non-Tesla electric vehicles (EVs) to use the site.

The first V4 Supercharger in Canada recently opened in Langley.

Last year Tesla opened the fourth and fifth Superchargers, bringing the total number of Supercharger stalls in the city to 68. Once this site goes live, which we expect to happen before the end of the year, that total will rise to 80.

Tesla is recently opened a brand new 63,000 square foot Service and Delivery Center in Surrey.
