While the vast majority of Tesla’s vehicles will be used for peaceful purposes, one unit might soon see combat. A Russian warlord has mounted a machine gun on a Cybertruck, heaping praises on it and promising to send it to the war front.
Elon Musk has provided SpaceX’s Starlink satellites to assist Ukraine as the European country tries to defend its territorial integrity. However, another one of his wares appears set to show up on the opposite camp in the war. Ramzan Kadyrov, head of the Chechnya region in Russia, has appeared in a video posted on Telegram in which he drives and poses in the bed of a Cybertruck on which is mounted a machine gun.
Kadyrov was full of praise for the electric pickup truck, which he called “one of the best cars in the world.
The warlord said, “We received a Tesla Cybertruck from the respected Elon Musk. I was happy to test the new technology and personally saw that it is not by chance that it is called the ‘cyberbeast’. A real invulnerable and fast animal.”
It has yet to be confirmed that Musk personally gifted the Cybertruck to Russia. However, Kadyrov said the vehicle would be dispatched to the front lines in Ukraine.
