Rivian has unveiled its new referral program, named “Rivian Rewards,” that offers benefits for those who refer friends and family to purchase Rivian vehicles, as well as the buyer.
According to the details of the program shared by Rivian on Thursday, when a new customer purchases an R1T or R1S from Rivian’s in-stock inventory through a referral, both parties receive 750 points, equivalent to $750 in credit at the Rivian Gear Shop.
These points can be redeemed for a variety of branded merchandise and gear, or similar to Tesla’s newly launched referral program, can be applied toward future vehicle purchases.
This amount may change next year, as the fine print says the 750 points will only be rewards on qualifying deliveries made on or before December 31, 2024.
Along with the Rivian credits, both referrer and the buyer are given six months of free charging at Rivian Adventure Network (RAN) sites. The charging incentive can be stacked but are capped at a maximum of three years.
The referral program doesn’t stop at cash rewards. To celebrate the launch of the program, the first 100 owners to make 25 successful referrals will be invited to a special “Rivian Adventure Weekend” in 2025.
