Rivian has released its first-quarter 2026 production and delivery results, offering a steady start to the year as the company continues to scale operations.

According to the press release, Rivian produced 10,236 vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois during the quarter ending March 31, 2026. Over the same period, it delivered 10,365 vehicles to customers, slightly outpacing production and indicating efficient inventory management.

Rivian also reiterated its full-year 2026 delivery guidance, maintaining a projected range of 62,000 to 67,000 vehicles. That outlook suggests confidence in its production ramp and demand trajectory heading into the remainder of the year, even as the industry faces ongoing headwinds tied to pricing pressure, policy shifts, and evolving consumer demand.

Notably, Rivian’s delivery figure exceeding production for the quarter points to continued progress in balancing supply and demand. Rather than building up excess inventory, like Tesla did in Q1 with production outpacing demand by 50,000 units, Rivian appears to be keeping vehicles moving through its pipeline efficiently—an important factor for a manufacturer still refining its operations at scale.

The automaker also saw year-over-year growth in both production and deliveries, bucking a trend where some competitors have struggled to maintain momentum.

Rivian confirmed it will release its full Q1 2026 financial results on April 30, 2026, after market close. The company will follow that release with an audio webcast at 5:00 p.m. ET, where executives are expected to provide deeper insight into margins, costs, and the broader business outlook.

That upcoming earnings call will be closely watched by investors and analysts, particularly as Rivian prepares for its next phase of growth with the upcoming launch of the R2 SUV, its first foray into the more affordable EV market.
