Porsche has announced that owners of the Macan Electric in Canada will receive two years of free charging at Electrify Canada stations.
According to a press release from Porsche Cars Canada, the partnership provides Macan Electric owners with two years of complimentary 30 minute fast charging sessions at any Electrify Canada public charging station.
Electrify Canada has been growing its charging infrastructure, adding more than 40 Hyper-Fast chargers across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. These chargers offer up to 350kW of power, enabling ultra-fast charging for the Macan Electric.
The Macan Electric features 800-volt battery architecture, allowing for charging speeds of up to 270kW. This allows the Macan Electric to charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes when connected to these Hyper-Fast chargers from Electrify Canada.
This means even though the benefit is only for 30-minute free charging sessions, drivers can take full advantage of this high charging speed to get back on the road with a nearly full battery.
The new Macan Electric starts at $94,900, and is available in four trims – the base Macan, Macan 4, Macan 4S. The top-of-the-line Macan Turbo is priced at $125,300.
