Porsche EV Sales Decline in Canada and the U.S. in 2025 Despite Record Overall Deliveries

Porsche’s electric vehicle (EV) sales declined across both Canada and the United States in 2025, even as the automaker posted strong overall results in North America, showing buyers continue to favour gasoline and hybrid models while the brand prepares to roll out its next wave of EVs.

In Canada, Porsche Cars Canada delivered 10,010 vehicles in 2025, a 3.5% decline compared to the prior year. Despite the decrease, the Macan remained the brand’s top-selling model nationwide, with 3,877 deliveries, highlighting the ongoing popularity of Porsche’s compact SUV lineup. The Cayenne followed with 2,551 units, while the 911 recorded 2,037 deliveries as demand for sports cars softened slightly in a higher-rate environment.

Electrified models faced a more challenging year in Canada. Taycan deliveries fell to only 250 units, down from 360 in 2024. Unfortunately, the German automaker did not break out gas and electric Macan sales. Even so, Porsche continued laying critical groundwork for its electric future. In 2025, the automaker opened the Porsche Experience Centre Toronto—the first of its kind in Canada—giving customers hands-on exposure to both combustion and electric models. Porsche has also expanded charging convenience, enabling Plug & Charge access for Macan Electric and upcoming Taycan models across tens of thousands of charging stations, including Tesla Superchargers.

South of the border, Porsche saw very different results, reporting 76,219 vehicle deliveries in the United States in 2025, narrowly surpassing its previous record and marking the strongest sales year in the brand’s U.S. history. The Macan once again led the way with 27,139 deliveries, supported by strong interest in both gasoline and electric versions. The Cayenne followed closely with 20,314 units, reinforcing Porsche’s reliance on high-margin SUVs as it transitions toward electrification.

U.S. electric sales were led by the Taycan, which recorded 4,142 deliveries in 2025, nearly 13 per cent lower year over year. Porsche has confirmed that the all-electric Cayenne will arrive in 2026, joining the Taycan and Macan Electric as the brand’s third battery-electric model—an expansion that could significantly boost Porsche’s North American EV sales.
