Polestar 3 accelerates towards launch following successful UAE hot weather testing

Development of the Polestar 3 is approaching its final stages, following a successful two-week hot weather testing period in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Polestar 3 is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2024, followed by another electric SUV, the Polestar 4 later in the year.

After making its global debut at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed in England, the Polestar 3 prototypes headed southeast to the United Arab Emirates in August. There a team of engineers fine-tuned the vehicle’s climate system in the most demanding of conditions surrounding Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where temperatures soared to as high as 50°C (122°F).

“The development and testing of the Polestar 3 are progressing smoothly, and we anticipate commencing production in the first quarter of 2024. The Polestar 3 marks the beginning of an exciting journey, and customers worldwide can now visit our retail locations to admire its impeccable proportions and experience its exclusive and innovative interior,” said Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath.

As noted by Ingenlath, all 31 Polestar Spaces in North America now have the Polestar 3 on display, giving potential buyers the opportunity to get a firsthand look at the electric SUV ahead of the start of production and the first deliveries early next year.

Addtionally, select Polestar Spaces across 27 markets have begun showcasing Polestar 3 prototype display cars for customers to explore. These displays will be followed by the availability of test drive cars in 2024.
