Lucid partners with Saks Fifth Avenue for test drives and marketing

What do Lucid Motors and Saks Fifth Avenue have in common? It apparently didn’t take long for the two luxury brands to find out as the automaker has signed a deal with the fashion house for test drives and marketing, according to a joint statement.

Lucid has teamed up with Saks Fifth Avenue to bring its EV experience closer to more people. The customers of the luxury fashion brand will be able to access demo drives of the automaker’s cars in-store. They will also be able to find more info on Lucid’s cars without leaving the website of their favorite fashion store, as Lucid will get a dedicated webpage where it will display its digital content.

The partnership has been in existence at least since December when Saks Fifth Avenue displayed the Air Sapphire, Lucid’s most expensive car at $250,000, at its flagship store in New York.

According to Lucid’s CEO Peter Rawlinson, “The collaboration brings the Lucid brand directly to Saks clientele searching for fine craftsmanship and innovation that seamlessly blend into their lifestyle.”

Visitors to Saks Fifth Avenue store in California are going to get test drives first, followed by other stores in Atlanta, Houston, Michigan, Greenwich, Chicago, etc.

Lucid’s cars will meet more eyeballs as the Air will soon be cruising the streets of Saudi Arabia as part of the kingdom’s police force fleet. Some of them will most likely come from its Saudi Arabian factory.
