Lucid Gravity will debut at the LA Auto Show on November 16

Lucid Motors has announced their next electric vehicle (EV), the Gravity SUV, will make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16.

Lucid has been teasing the arrival of the Gravity SUV since it was announced in 2020, and now, the wait is almost over. According to a post from the struggling automaker the Gravity will finally enter production late in 2024.

Although the teaser image accompanying the announcement doesn’t reveal much that hasn’t already been seen, it does hint at a sleek and modern design. Specific details are still under wraps, but Lucid promises that the Gravity will be the most aerodynamic crossover on the market. Additionally, it will feature an extra-large front trunk (frunk) and a “clamshell rear opening” that provides easy access to a spacious cargo area.

Inside, the Gravity is expected to offer a “sanctuary-like” cabin with premium appointments, creating an oasis of comfort for passengers. The model will be available in various seating configurations, including five, six, and seven seats. It is also set to feature a generous glass roof and lounge-like second-row seats, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious ride.

While performance specifications remain a mystery, Lucid is boldly claiming that the Gravity will offer a range that surpasses all competitors, except for its own Lucid Air model, known for its impressive EPA range of up to 516 miles.

The Gravity is expected to come equipped with bi-directional charging, optional towing capability, and a sports-tuned air suspension. This crossover is said to embody the lessons learned from Lucid’s previous model, the Air, and pushes the boundaries of what an SUV can deliver.

The public will have the opportunity to see the Lucid Gravity at the 2023 LA Auto Show starting on November 17.
