Lucid Air discounts reach $18K in Canada, $21.5K in the US

Lucid is again offering some substantial discounts on its luxury Air sedan in both Canada and the US, with the discounts reaching as much as $18,000 in Canada and $21,500 in the United States.

Lucid Discounts in Canada

According to an update to Lucid’s website in Canada, the automaker is now offering a C$5,000 “on-site vehicle bonus.” As the name implies, this discount is available to customers who purchase an Air sedan that is “available on-site at the time of order.” This discount is available until July 31, 2024.

Along with this C$5,000 discount, Lucid is also offering other discounts for customers who pay cash for their purchase. For buyers who do not finance their vehicle, you can get an Air Credit worth as much as C$13,000 on available Air Grand Touring models, or C$10,000 for cash purchases of an Air Touring or Air Pure.

If you are able to take advantage of both offers, this could lower the price of the entry-level Air Pure from C$96,800 to C$81,800. For the Air Grand Touring, the price could be as low as C$133,800.

Lucid Discounts in the US

There are also substantial discounts and leasing offers available in the US. The same on-site bonus is available south of the border, where it is US$4,000, and available to both purchasers and lessees.

For buyers, there is also a US$10,000 Air Credit for the Grand Touring model, or US$7,500 for the Touring and Pure models.

Those opting to lease a Lucid Air can also get some big discounts, resulting in low monthly payments. With the Air Credit noted above, you can also get a US$7,500 EV credit, totaling as much as US$17,500 off the Grand Touring, or US$15,000 on the Touring and Pure models.

This puts the monthly lease payments as low as US$849 for the Grand Touring, or US$649 or US$549 for the Touring and Pure models respectively. These payments are on a 36-month term with as little as US$5,549 at signing.

So far in 2024, Lucid achieved a record with 1,967 vehicles delivered in the first quarter of the year, an increase from the 1,406 deliveries in the same period of 2023. However, production in Q1 2024 was 1,728 units, down from 2,314 units in Q1 2023.

In the first quarter, Lucid reported revenue of approximately $172.7 million, driven by the higher vehicle deliveries. Despite that, Lucid reported a net loss of $780 million for the first three months of the year.

Lucid has yet to report its Q2 production and delivery figures.

For 2024, Lucid aims to build approximately 9,000 vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, Arizona. Lucid also has a second factory in Saudi Arabia, but that facility merely reassembles cars that were fully built in Arizona and then taken apart and shipped to Saudi Arabia.
