Hyundai Ioniq 5 gets unveiling date in new teaser video

Last month Hyundai accidentally released the specifications for its upcoming Ioniq 5 electric vehicle (EV). Just about the only thing that wasn’t leaked was an official unveiling date, and what the highly-anticipated EV will look like.

Based on a new teaser video, it looks like we’ll be getting answers to both of those questions very soon.

The video is a 40-second action short where a secret agent has to retrieve a seed that a bio-agency is trying to exploit. It also gives us a few glimpses of the car, including some shots of the headlights and taillights.

After all the action, we also learn the official date of the unveiling. You’ll be able to watch it online at hyundai.com/worldwide, beginning at 11:00pm PST on February 1, 2021.
