How to apply to become a Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta tester in Canada and the U.S.

Last night Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced they were expanding the Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta testing program by a factor of 10 in the coming weeks, inviting owners to “let us know” if they were interested.

The only thing not included in Musk’s tweet was how exactly to do that. Some wondered if it would be up to the Twitter lottery to be included, while others created service requests in the mobile app to become a tester.

After likely being inundated with requests, Tesla Service in Canada has let us know Canadians can apply too, and exactly what to do.

Simply email earlyaccess@tesla.com and include the following information:

  1. Name
  2. VIN
  3. Country
  4. Driving History (driving style and the types of roads you usually drive on)

This has also been confirmed by the director of artificial intelligence and Autopilot Vision at Tesla, Andrej Karpathy.

Good luck! Let us know in the comments below if you have applied.
