Honda has taken the wraps off its new EV concept in a world premiere in China. The new electrical car is the second concept in its e:N series, and is called the e:N2.

The unveiling took place at the 5th China International Import Expo in Shanghai.

The concept e:N2 is marked by sharp and dynamic body lines. Honda describes the surface finishes as a metallic design that does not belong to any existing categories.

The interior was designed for riders to enjoy “intellectual exhilaration.”

It offers a clean and uncluttered digital cockpit, as well as a curated lighting and scent effect.

Honda says the e:N2 is based on the e:N Architecture F electric platform. It allows the driver to enjoy a “sense of unity with the vehicle.”

Toshihiro Mibe, director, president, and representative executive officer of Honda Motor Co. Ltd, said, “The e:N2 Concept represents the value of our e:N Series, which will ‘redefine the fun EVs can offer to customers with their unique driving pleasure, the value as a mobility space and design. In China, Honda will continue delivering a broad range of electrified mobility products unique only to Honda and experience our rebirth into an electric mobility brand.”

Honda also released a new upgrade to its SENSING 360 driving assistance. It now comes with a forward-looking sensor camera and 5-mm-wave radar to help prevent accidents.

Honda’s first all-electric car is the Prologue, coming to North America in 2024.
