If there was any doubt Tulsa and its BigF*ckingField were still in the running for Tesla’s next Gigafactory, those doubts were put to rest after Tesla CEO Elon Musk landed in Tulsa on Friday.
Musk was joined on the trip by Craig Hulse, Tesla’s director of policy and government affairs.
After arriving, the pair went to the proposed site of the Gigafactory and had a sit down meeting with Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt and Secretary of Commerce Sean Kouplen, as well as the property owner of the proposed site.
We had a great visit with @elonmusk yesterday talking @Tesla in Tulsa!
Oklahoma is the right place for Tesla and I thank all of the Oklahomans who have shown their overwhelming support. Keep it up! #Tulsa4Tesla pic.twitter.com/eVhIeCIvwv

According to Kouplen, the meeting lasted a little over an hour where the group looked over the plans for the site, discussed utility access, water and natural gas access, and other details necessary for the construction of such a massive project.
So far the only other location reportedly still in the running for the location of the next Gigafactory is Austin, Texas.
