DurteDom gloats on TikTok after LAPD offers $1,000 reward for information on driver of Tesla Model S stunt jump in Echo Park

Earlier today we shared some shocking footage with you of a Tesla Model S going airborne on a residential street in Los Angeles.

The video showed a Model S approaching a hill at high speed in the Echo Park neighbourhood and launching into the air, sending it crashing into two parked cars and several garbage cans.

Fortunately the driver, and none of the bystanders, were injured in the incident, but the Model S was a total loss.

If the stupidity of the stunt alone was not enough, it turns out the Model S was a rental from Enterprise, and the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

The incident quickly drew the attention of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), who are now offering a $1,000 reward for information on the driver. (via KTLA)

Fortunately the allure of a few minutes of social media fame was too much for DurteDom (@dominykas), who appears to have posted a video of himself to TikTok admitting to being the driver.

And the stupidity continues, as he posted another video gloating about the LAPD reward.

Hopefully it won’t be long before he is behind bars and forced to pay for the damage he caused to not only the rented Tesla, but also the other cars that were damaged in his stunt.

Editor’s note: This article was updated to reflect the car involved was rented from Enterprise, and not Turo.
