Audi will also have a Super Bowl LIV ad featuring Maisie Williams and the e-tron Sportback

On the weekend we saw Porsche’s first Super Bowl ad since 1997, featuring their new Taycan and a host of other Porsche vehicles.

Now Audi has released their Super Bowl ad ahead of the big game, featuring their new EV, the Audi e-tron Sportback.

You might recognize the star of the ad, Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones. You might also recognize the song she starts singing (especially if you have kids), “Let It Go” from the hit movie Frozen.

The ad features Williams getting into the e-tron EV after unplugging it, and soon after pulling off encounters traffic and exhaust fumes visible in the air. That’s when she starts singing “Let It Go”, and then everything becomes better.

The 1 minute ad finishes off with the message “Let’s drive to a more sustainable future”, a clear nod to Tesla and their mission statement of wanting to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

Clearly Audi has money to spare to buy expensive Super Bowl air time, hire a big movie star, and buy the rights to one of Disney’s biggest songs. Compare that to Tesla, who has spent $0 on advertising since inception, and still sells more EV’s than the ‘competition’, and by a long shot.
