Tesla officially recognizes launch of Model Y deliveries with new promotional video

This weekend we saw the first Model Y’s delivered to lucky customers in the US. These happened without any official word or public recognition from Tesla that deliveries were underway, until now.

Yesterday Tesla posted a new promotional video to its social media accounts to officially launch the deliveries of the highly anticipated Model Y. The video takes us to a number of stunning backdrops, showing us the Model Y as it traverses mountain roads and snowy conditions with ease. It also takes us inside the factory where we see the Model Y being assembled.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has previously stated he believes the Model Y will outsell the Model S, Model 3, and Model X combined. With North America and the world’s appetite for SUV, and the recent surge in EV adoption in many countries around the world (BC has the highest per capita rate of EV adoption in North America), it’s hard to argue with Musk’s assertion.

Check out the full video below. Anyone else have an urge to go and order a Model Y? You still have time, as deliveries in Canada won’t begin until mid-2020.
