Tesla kicks off refresh Model X deliveries in Fremont [Update]

Nearly a full 10 months after Tesla shut down the Model X production line, the first few deliveries of the refresh design have taken place today.

The deliveries came about unexpectedly, with the first report that they might begin this weekend coming just yesterday. TMC forum member sunnyvaletree reported their account had a scheduled delivery date for October 16th at 2:30pm at the Fremont delivery center.

Despite some doubts as to whether it would actually happen as scheduled, sunnyvaletree did get to pick up his Model X as scheduled.

According to the new owner, Tesla delivered a total of 5 Long Range (LR) Model X SUVs, and more should happen soon.

Based on some photos shared by sunnyvaletree, at least three of them where white. His specific Model X was white with the cream interior, and reportedly still had a 2021 model year VIN.

UPDATE: Here is a quick walkaround video of sunnyvaletree’s new Model X.

UPDATE: Tesla has also now posted a support video for the new Model X
