CoStar Group tries to lure workers back to the office with a prize of a brand new Tesla Model S

With the COVID-19 pandemic having lasted more than a year, many office workers are getting very comfortable logging in each morning from home. As a result, some employers are expecting a difficult road ahead when the time comes for them to return to the office.

CoStar Group, a provider of information, analytics and marketing services to the commercial property industry, has come up with a fun way to incentivize workers to get vaccinated and come back to the office – free stuff.

Since April the company has been giving away a daily cash prize of $10,000 to a random worker that has received their shot and commits to returning to the office. That’s just the daily prize, there will also be two bigger prizes.

After a random draw three employees and a guest for each will also win an all-expenses paid trip to Barbados on a private jet.

If that’s not enough, the grand prize for one lucky employee will be a brand new Tesla Model S.

The company is expecting to spend several hundred thousand dollars during the program, which will run through the summer. It might sound like a lot of money, but for a multi-billion dollar company with 4,000 employees and 50 offices in the US, it’s worth it.
