Tesla Announces Q4 2024 Supercharger Voting Results, Opens Q1 2025 Voting

Tesla’s latest round of Supercharger Voting for Q4 2024 has wrapped up, and Canadian Tesla owners and enthusiasts can celebrate as five new locations across the country have emerged victorious. The winning locations are:

  • Ucluelet, BC
  • Newmarket, ON
  • Lac-Mégantic, QC
  • Liverpool, NS
  • Bathurst, NB

Five winning locations were also announced for the US:

  • Cody, WY
  • Taos, NM
  • Hot Springs, AR
  • Johnson City, TN
  • Clermont, FL

These locations will soon be added to Tesla’s rapidly expanding Supercharger network, filling in critical gaps and providing more convenience for EV owners.

What is Tesla Supercharger Voting?

Tesla’s Supercharger Voting program allows owners to have a direct say in where the next charging stations are built. By rallying support and casting votes, Tesla drivers can influence the growth of the network to better suit their travel needs.

At the end of November, the North American leaderboard showed a strong Canadian presence. Lac-Mégantic, QC, was sitting in the top spot with 1,353 votes, closely followed by Mont-Laurier, QC, with 1,325 votes. Bathurst, NB, was in third with 1,050 votes, pushing past US locations like Johnson City, TN, and Cody, WY.

Other Canadian cities rounding out the top ten included Liverpool, NS (908 votes), Newmarket, ON (903 votes), and Ucluelet, BC (832 votes), closely matching the final results.

Q1 2025 Voting Locations Announced

With Q4’s winners locked in, Tesla has unveiled the list of potential sites for the next round of voting in Q1 2025. The new Canadian contenders include:

  • Campbell River, BC
  • Duncan, BC
  • New Westminster, BC
  • Blue River, BC
  • Dawson Creek, BC
  • Calgary East, AB
  • Tobermory, ON
  • Toronto East, ON
  • Val-d’Or, QC
  • Mont-Laurier, QC
  • Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC
  • Montreal North, QC
  • Trois-Rivières, QC
  • Channel-Port aux Basques, NL

British Columbia leads the list with five locations, reflecting the province’s growing rate of EV adoption. Quebec, a perennial leader in Supercharger votes, adds four new sites to the ballot. Alberta, Ontario, and Newfoundland & Labrador round out the list with critical sites that could help facilitate long-distance travel across the country.
