Tesla finally adds diecast Model Y to online shop

Tesla has finally added a 1:18 scale diecast of the Model Y to their online shop, more than three and half years after the electric SUV was first launched.

According to the Tesla Shop listing, the Model Y diecast is a meticulously crafted replica with every detail, curve, and surface made from the same 3D CAD data used to manufacture the actual Model Y vehicles. Despite this however, there are some details that strangely aren’t accurate, like the front bumper that has two tow eyes instead of one, and the rear bumper that has no tow eyes instead of one.

The 1:18 scale Model Y diecast has over 180 metal and plastic parts. The level of detail even carries through to the interior that features fabric seat belts with buckle details, carpeted trunk and interior, and even a panoramic glass roof. Even the doors, front trunk, and rear liftgate can be opened and closed, and the rubber tires and steerable wheels ensure a smooth and realistic rolling experience.

All of this detail comes at a price, $265 in Canada and $195 in the US. Unfortunately it is currently only available in three colours: red, white, and blue.

You can purchase yours at the links below.

Canada – $265
USA – $195
