VinFast loses three senior sales executives

As VinFast focuses on expansion into the United States, the company has lost another three senior sales executives.

In a statement, VinFast confirmed the reports and noted that Gareth Dunsmore, Deputy Chief Executive for Global Sales and Marketing, had left the company for personal reasons.

While the company also confirmed that Greg Tebbutt, Chief Marketing Officer and Craig Westbrook, Chief Service Officer, left due to “changes in the management model and specific business requirements”.

This is not the first loss of executives for the company. In June, the company ended its contract with Emmanuel Bret, who was Gareth Dunsmore’s deputy. At the time, VinFast also lost three other senior executives.

While in February, the company consolidated its US and Canada operations, cutting 80 jobs. These cuts also included Chief Financial Officer Rodney Hanes.

At least to say, VinFast has had a rough go over the last year in terms of expanding its footprint. The US expansion has been rocky, and the company’s US-based production plant in North Carolina is delayed.

It will be interesting to see how the company can rebound and if the new crop of leadership can help deliver on its ambitious plans.
