Earlier this week SpaceX sent a second shipment of Starlink terminals to Ukraine to help keep the government and citizens connected to the internet amid the ongoing Russian invasion.
For the first time however that shipment also included some Powerwall units from Tesla Energy to help keep the equipment running in the event of interruptions to the power supply.
Also included were a bunch of makeshift cables and other equipment to help the units be used as a mobile power supply.
“Tesla employees used inverters and charging cables that were donated by Tesla’s certified installers in the area to assemble the Starlink-and-Powerwall systems. They also fashioned AC cables from scrap at Tesla’s new factory being built outside of Berlin to help power Starlink equipment.” (via CNBC)
It appears Tesla has now created a “how to” video to help Ukrainians set them up.
The unlisted video appears on YouTube on March 8, 2022, the day before it was announced that Powerwall units had been sent to Ukraine.
The 10 minute videos goes step-by-step on how to use the various makeshift connectors and cables to get the Powerwall units operating while still in the boxes they were shipped in.
