Two all-electric Jaguar I-Pace SUVs will soon be joining the fleet at the West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) in the United Kingdom.
The two electric SUVs have been converted by VCS Bradford. The company specializes in creating and transforming EVs into front-line accident and emergency vehicles and emergency response vehicles.
“As always, WMAS has pushed the innovation envelope which has now resulted in the delivery of what we feel is a best in class, fully capable zero-emission response car,” said VCS managing director Mark Kerrigan.
This isn’t the first electric vehicle (EV) to join the WMAS fleet. In October last year they launched the UK’s first 100% electric ambulance.
Tesla recently began officially promoting the Model 3 as an emergency response vehicle in the UK. Max Toozs-Hobson, a Senior Tesla Advisor in London said the Model 3 is the perfect choice for emergency service response.
