Tesla drops Cyberbeast price by $15K in the U.S.

Tesla has issued a significant price drop on the Cyberbeast in the United States, lowering the top-tier Cybertruck trim by $15,000. However, it is not your typical price drop, as the automaker removed a feature package that has been standard on the Cyberbeast for the past six months.

To say Tesla has struggled to sell Cybertrucks is probably an understatement. In 2025 just over 20,000 units were estimated to have been sold, a nearly 50% drop from the year prior. The low sales were evident throughout the year, which made Tesla’s decision in August 2025 to raise the price of the most expensive Cybertruck, the tri-motor Cyberbeast, by US$15,000 to US$114,990, with the addition of the Luxe Package, a strange one.

The Luxe Package wasn’t optional, but for the extra US$15,000, buyers did get something – Full Self-Driving (FSD), free lifetime Supercharger, four years of included service, and free lifetime Premium Connectivity.

Now six months later, and Tesla has decided to discontinue the Luxe Package for the Cyberbeast, sending the price back down to US$99,990.

While Tesla has removed the Luxe Package from the Cyberbeast, it remains available for the automaker’s other flagship vehicles, the Model S and Model X, both of which will be no longer built by the end of Q2 2026.

The Luxe Package has never been made available in Canada, so there have been no changes to Cybertruck pricing in Canada. Due to tariffs, they still start at the ridiculously high prices of C$139,990 for the Premium AWD variant, and C$167,990 for the Cyberbeast.

Along with the removal of the Luxe Package, Tesla also made another significant change to the Cybertruck lineup on Thursday night – the addition of a new base Cybertruck All-Wheel Drive (AWD). It comes with many of the features included on what is now called the Premium AWD, but costs $20,000 less, starting at just US$59,990. Which when you take inflation into account, beats the pricing when the Cybertruck was first unveiled in 2019.

Unfortunately, due to the above-mentioned tariffs, this new variant is also not available in Canada, and likely won’t be until the tariffs are removed.
