Tesla has broadened eligibility for its Everyday Heroes program, now extending the offer to include healthcare workers in both Canada and the United States. The program, designed to recognize essential professionals, provides verified individuals with a discount on new Tesla vehicles through the ID.me verification platform.
In Canada, the incentive remains unchanged at $1,000 off the purchase of a new Tesla, including the Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and Cybertruck. Eligible Canadians now include medical providers and nurses, along with the originally included first responders, students, and teachers. Once verified through ID.me., customers receive the discount when they place their order online.
In the U.S., however, the discount was reduced from $1,000 to $500 last week, a change that was quietly updated on Tesla’s American Heroes webpage. Despite the reduced discount, the program’s scope was also expanded to include healthcare professionals alongside first responders and educators, aligning it with the Canadian version.
The program is part of Tesla’s broader effort to make its vehicles more accessible while acknowledging the contributions of everyday professionals who serve their communities.
