Tesla is set to expand its footprint in India with the opening of its second showroom, located in New Delhi’s upscale Aerocity district. Scheduled to open on August 11 at Worldmark 3, this new location will follow the debut of Tesla’s first Indian showroom in Mumbai last month, signaling the company’s accelerating entry into one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets.
Situated near the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the Aerocity showroom is positioned to serve as a high-end customer experience and display centre. Much like its Mumbai counterpart, the Delhi showroom will allow prospective buyers to view Tesla vehicles up close, explore features in person, and engage with the brand’s latest technology.
Tesla launched its operations in India on July 15 with the opening of its Mumbai showroom in the Maker Maxity Mall at Bandra Kurla Complex. The company is currently showcasing the Model Y, which is imported from Giga Shanghai.
Two variants of the Model Y are now officially available in India—a standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) version and a Long Range RWD variant. While Tesla’s prices in India are much higher than in the U.S., China, or Europe, this is largely due to steep import tariffs.
Along with opening their first showroom, and with plans to open their second, Tesla also opened their first Supercharger in India this week, marked with a commemorative ‘No 001’ plaque on the Supercharger post.
Namaste India
