Tesla Launches Lyft Driver Purchase Program Offering $2,000 in Incentives

Tesla has announced a new incentive program aimed at rideshare drivers, this time partnering with Lyft to make owning a Tesla more accessible. Eligible Lyft drivers in the U.S. can now receive up to $2,000 in combined benefits when purchasing a new Tesla vehicle.

According to the terms of the program on Tesla’s website, Tesla is offering $1,000 in Tesla Credits upon taking delivery of a new Tesla, plus an additional $1,000 incentive from Lyft after completing 100 trips by July 13, 2025. Just like credits from the Tesla referral program, these incentives can be applied towards Supercharging, vehicle service appointments, Tesla Shop purchases, and even as a down payment on a future Tesla.

The initiative follows a similar program Tesla launched with Uber in November 2024, where eligible Uber drivers could earn the same $2,000 in combined incentives—$1,000 in Tesla Credits from Tesla and $1,000 in cash from Uber after completing 100 trips. That program, however, was limited to the Model 3 and Model Y.

In contrast, the Lyft Driver Purchase Program expands eligibility to all Tesla models, including the Model S, Model X, and the Cybertruck.

Tesla says that the program cannot be combined with other promotions like the Military, First Responder, Teacher, Student, or Employee Purchase Programs. However, it can be stacked with existing financing offers and Tesla’s Refer & Earn program.

Eligible drivers must take delivery of their new Tesla by June 30, 2025, to receive the $1,000 Tesla Credit. Any unused credits will expire after one year, except for Canadian purchases, where expiration does not apply. The Lyft incentive of $1,000 will be issued after completing 100 trips by July 13, 2025, subject to Lyft’s terms.

Interested drivers can schedule a demo drive and verify their eligibility through Tesla’s website.
