During last week’s unveiling of the Cybertruck, there was a brief video of it having a tug-of-war with a Ford F-150. Tied together, the Cybertruck easily pulled the F-150 uphill while the tires of the Ford smoked and squealed trying to get traction.
It appears that Ford was watching, and the vice president of Ford X tweeted out that they would like Elon Musk to send them a Cybertruck so they can perform their own tests of the two trucks, after it was pointed out that the test might not have been an apples-to-apples test (Cybertruck was AWD, Ford was RWD).
hey @elonmusk send us a cybertruck and we will do the apples to apples test for you 😉😉😉https://t.co/H3v6dCZeV5

Musk was quick to respond, simply saying “bring it on”.

It is unlikely Musk will actually send one of the Cybertruck prototypes, if there is even more than one currently, to Ford to perform their own tests. But it certainly sets the stage for more tests in the future as the development of the Cybertruck continues.
