Chilliwack Tesla Supercharger now open [British Columbia]

It took a little longer than originally planned, but the Tesla Supercharger in Chilliwack, British Columbia is now open.

Construction of the 12-stall V3 Supercharger began all the way back in September, with work completing by early November.

Unfortunately devastating floods then hit the region, damaging thousands of properties and infrastructure in the region.

While the Chilliwack Superchargers were fortunate to escape with no damage, the opening was delayed as BC Hydro crews were prioritized to repair the damage caused by the flooding.

Crews have been able to work through the backlog and on Valentine’s Day, the Superchargers were finally turned on, with Drive Tesla reader Ian Mackay being one of the first to plug in this afternoon.

The new Chilliwack Supercharger is located in the parking lot on the south side of the Cottonwood Mall, close to the Earl’s restaurant.
