As the Porsche Taycan deliveries slowly start to grow, we’re getting to see more real-world tests of Porsche’s first all-electric sports car.
The latest video, from Autovisie, takes a new Taycan Turbo S to the Autobahn and perform a number of acceleration and high speed runs.
In the first clip we see a 0-200km/h run, which starts off with an impressive 2.7 second 0-60mph time. The digital speedometer can’t quite keep up, as it goes up in jumps by as much as 20-30km/h. It completes the 200km/h run in 9.7 seconds.
For comparison, Tesla Model S owners have recorded 0-200km/h times of between 10-11 seconds.
They also stretch the legs of the Taycan Turbo S on a high-speed run. After being slowed down several times by cars in the passing lane, they are able to reach the electronically limited top speed of 269km/h, thought their GPS reads a top speed of 261km/h.
It will be interesting to see what the top speed will be without the speed limiter in place.
P.S. When can we get the Autobahn equivalent in Canada? Asking for a friend…
