Tesla has once again sparked speculation about its future product lineup after fans spotted new vehicle models hidden in plain sight. In the company’s new Master Plan Part IV video released this week, it was noticed that clay prototypes resembling a Cybertruck-based SUV and possibly even a van were in the background, igniting a debate about whether Tesla is preparing to expand its “Cyber” design family.
Easter Eggs in the Tesla Design Studio
The brief teaser appeared during a sequence showcasing the Cybercab robotaxi being sculpted out of clay. Behind the main display, shelves revealed four additional scale models. Two of them looked particularly familiar, featuring the sharp, angular design language of the Cybertruck but in different body styles.
One had a taller, more enclosed profile resembling a three-row SUV, while another carried the silhouette of a van — a vehicle type Tesla has teased in the past through its “Robovan” concept, although on a larger scale.

These weren’t likely oversights. Tesla’s Design Studio is known for carefully orchestrated reveals, and the appearance of such models in a high-profile video suggests the automaker wanted the public to notice. This strategy has become part of Tesla’s playbook: using subtle teases to generate conversation, gauge public interest, and keep attention on potential future products.
Why a CyberSUV Makes Sense
The idea of a Cybertruck-inspired SUV has been circulating since the truck’s debut in 2019. Such a model would cater to families looking for a larger, seven-seat EV that offers both futuristic styling and long-distance capability. North America’s appetite for full-size SUVs remains strong, with rivals like the Cadillac Escalade IQ, Rivian R1S, and Kia EV9 already in the mix.
A CyberSUV could leverage the Cybertruck’s platform, including its 48-volt electrical system, steer-by-wire technology, and adaptive suspension. For Tesla, this would fill a gap in its lineup while capitalizing on demand for premium electric family vehicles.
The Possibility of a CyberVan
Alongside the SUV speculation, the potential “CyberVan” is equally intriguing. Elon Musk has previously floated the idea of a Tesla van, which could serve commercial, passenger, or even robotaxi purposes. A van built with the Cybertruck’s futuristic design elements could appeal to fleet operators as well as families seeking a versatile people mover.
Will They Become Reality?
Despite the excitement, it’s worth remembering that Tesla frequently develops concept models that never reach production. The Cybertruck’s stainless steel body, for example, is not expected to be reused on other vehicles, and Tesla has emphasized that its current focus is on artificial intelligence, autonomy, and sustainable energy solutions. These background models may represent early design explorations rather than concrete product plans.
Still A Tease
Still, the timing of the reveal — in an official video tied to Tesla’s long-term vision — is difficult to dismiss. With Cybertruck production at Giga Texas running below capacity, introducing a SUV or van could help maximize the assembly line while meeting untapped demand. Whether Tesla follows through or not remains to be seen, but if they do move forward, would you buy a Cybertruck-inspired SUV or van? Let us know in the comments below.
