Tesla Supercharger voting results: Canada scores two wins in latest round

Tesla has officially revealed the results of its most recent round of Supercharger voting, where fans and owners around the globe cast their ballots to help determine the locations of future charging sites. This latest batch includes a mix of international and North American winners, with 18 new sites set to join Tesla’s rapidly growing charging network.

Canadian Tesla owners will be pleased to know that two locations—Trois-Rivières, Quebec and Halifax, Nova Scotia—secured enough votes to be among the winners. This marks another strong showing for Eastern Canada, particularly Quebec, which continues to be a dominant force in the Supercharger voting process.

The winning list also includes a range of global destinations. New Superchargers will soon be coming to Siheung, South Korea; Sydney West, Australia; Kumiyama, Japan; Istanbul West, Turkey; Sopron, Hungary; Monza, Italy; Strymoniko, Greece; and Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.

In the United States, Tesla will add Superchargers in Gardiner, Montana; Walla Walla, Washington; Willow Springs, Missouri; Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Prosper, Texas; Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; Sandy Springs, Georgia; and Wesley Chapel, Florida.

What is Supercharger Voting?

Tesla’s Supercharger Voting initiative gives the community a unique opportunity to influence the direction of infrastructure expansion. Participants can cast up to 5 votes each quarter, and even suggest new locations. Sites with the most votes are selected as winners and will get a Supercharger station at a future date.

There are a number of Canadian sites up for the running in the next round of Supercharger voting. In British Columbia there are two on Vancouver Island (Langford and Courtenay), one in the Lower Mainland (UBC), and one in the northern part of the province in Prince Rupert.

Alberta is well represented with a total of 12 sites, from having multiple locations in Calgary and Edmonton, to the far reaches of the province in Grand Cache, Athabasca, Bonnyville, and more.

Unfortunately there are no sites in this round in Saskatchewan or Manitoba, but there are a number of sites in easter Canada, including Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia (sorry Newfoundland and Labrador).

The next round of voting is already live and owners and fans can cast their votes at tesla.com/supercharger-voting.
