Tesla starts construction on new Kelowna Supercharger [British Columbia]

Tesla has started construction on a new Supercharger in the interior of British Columbia in Kelowna. This will be the third Supercharger in Kelowna, and will double the capacity in the city.

The new Supercharger is located at the Orchard Park Shopping Center at 2271 Harvey Ave. This is the same location Tesla had pinned as an ‘in development’ location, but with an update to the Find Us map yesterday, Tesla says this station is now under construction.

This was soon confirmed by X user Troy Ryder, who shared pictures of the 16-stall Supercharger in the south side of the mall parking lot. Construction has already progressed significantly, with several V4 Supercharger posts already installed.

This new Supercharger is located just 1.3km from the existing 8-stall V2 Supercharger station situated behind the Best Western Plus hotel at the intersection of Leckie Rd and Hwy 97. West Kelowna is also home to a 8-stall V3 Supercharger at the Okanagan Lake Shopping Centre.

Tesla had also posted a Supercharger as ‘in development’ in Westbank in December 2024, but that pin has since been removed from Tesla’s map. However, the updates to Tesla’s map are fluid, and it would not be surprising to see it return in the coming months.
