Tesla starts construction on another Supercharger in Mississauga [Ontario]

Tesla has started construction on another new Supercharger station in Mississauga, Ontario. This is the fourth Supercharger to be built in Mississauga in the past year, one of which was the largest station in Ontario.

The newest Supercharger for Mississauga is located near the Shoppers Drug Mart in the parking lot of the Clarkson Crossing Plaza (930 Southdown Road). According to photos of the site shared with us by Uday Chandar (@Udaychandar25), the site will feature 20 V3 Supercharger posts in a back-to-back configuration.

As we mentioned, this is the fourth station to start construction in Mississauga over the past year. Two of those have opened (Vega Blvd & Winston Churchill Blvd), and there is another Supercharger at the Esso gas station at 5980 Hurontario St that has been sitting idle for several months waiting for a connection to the grid.

When these two new Superchargers open it will bring the number of Superchargers in the city to five, and the total number of stalls in the city to 76.

Nearly half of those stalls, 32 of them, are located at the Supercharger at Applewood Village Plaza that opened late last year. Not only is it the largest Supercharger station in Ontario, it is also home to Canada’s 2,000th Supercharger stall.
