Tesla has resumed deliveries of the Long Range (LR) AWD version of the 2025 Model Y after a few days’ pause in the US, with slightly increased driving range following new EPA testing.
Late last week Tesla paused deliveries of the 2025 model year Model Y, as the automaker had not yet received its official range rating from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). At the time we speculated it would take a week or two at most to resume deliveries, and that happened on Friday.
After a brief hiatus, the 2025 Tesla Model Y AWD has a slightly longer official driving range, according to the EPA. The electric SUV is now certified to last 311 miles on a single charge, up from 308 miles. The range also increased in Canada, going from 496km to 501km.
We have since been able to confirm with one of our readers that the hold has been lifted, and deliveries resumed on Friday.

The Model Y LR RWD and Performance models had already received their EPA ratings, so there was no delivery pause for those models.
The Model Y remains very popular globally. Last month, the one millionth copy rolled off the assembly line in Tesla’s Fremont factory. It was also the best-selling vehicle in California in the last quarter.
