Tesla owners who pay for the Premium Connectivity subscription may soon be able to save a little money with an annual payment option instead of monthly.
Premium Connectivity was first introduced in the US in late 2019 at $9.99 per month. The subscription arrived in Canada a few months later, with owners having to pay $13.99 per month north of the border.
With the subscription, owners were able to retain access to features like live traffic visualization, music streaming, and more, after their free trial expired. Owners in the US also get Sentry Mode Live Camera access.
Now it looks like Tesla might introduce a cheaper annual payment option. When asked about the idea this afternoon by Tesla owner and enthusiast Zack, CEO Elon Musk said “good idea” to a $99 fee per year.
That works out to about $20 in savings compared to paying monthly.

If Tesla follows through and adds a Premium Connectivity subscription option at $99 per year in the US, it will likely be $130-$140 per year or more in Canada.
