Tesla Partners with XPEL to Offer Window Tinting Services with Warranty Coverage in the US

Tesla has launched a new partnership with XPEL, introducing an official window tinting service for Tesla vehicles in the US. This service is available for the front and rear windows, with an optional tinting for the glass roof.

According to a new page on XPEL’s website, the price for Tesla’s window tinting begins at US$150, and go up from there based on how many windows you want tinted. The service is available for all of the Tesla’s vehicles, including the Cybertruck.

The basic package offers fundamental UV and heat protection, while premium packages, like the high-performance XR Plus, use Nano Ceramic technology for enhanced durability and protection. The most premium option can reach as much as US$1,275 for a full tint of all windows and glass roof on the Cybertruck.

Once you have selected your tint coverage, the website directs owners to the nearest XPEL participating dealer, who will handle the appointment and installation. Despite the page saying to enter either a ZIP code for the US or a postal code for Canada, Drive Tesla was not able to find any participating locations across Canada.

One notable feature of this partnership is the warranty coverage. If the glass breaks under the vehicle’s basic warranty terms, Tesla will cover the reinstallation cost for the tinting film.
