Non-Tesla EV owners in Sweden can now charge at any of the country’s Tesla Superchargers after the company announced on X (formerly Twitter) it was opening its charging network to all EV drivers.
The Tesla Supercharger network is the envy of many non-Tesla EV owners, but all EV drivers in Sweden are now welcome to use the popular fast chargers. The company’s X account dedicated to charging posted the news on Tuesday.
Celebrating the opening of the Supercharger network in Sweden to all EVs!
All Tesla & non-Tesla vehicles can charge for free tomorrow, Nov 6 (between 00:01 & 23:59 local time)

To mark the occasion, Tesla is offering free charging to both Tesla and non-Tesla owners on Wednesday. It added that a 104 SEK (C$13.44) charging fee will be deducted from the chosen payment method at the beginning of a charging session, but returned at the end.
Sweden joins the Netherlands as the only European countries where Tesla has thrown open its Superchargers to all EV brands. The same rollout has happened in South Korea.
The situation is a bit different in the US, where Tesla has promised to also allow all EV brands to use its chargers, with the aid of an adapter, including Ford, Rivian, General Motors, and Polestar. It has also entered into agreements with other EV makers to incorporate the NACS standards in their vehicles.
Sweden boasts one of the highest EV adoption rates globally, with fellow Nordic country, Norway.
Globally, Tesla operates more than 60,000 Superchargers and is rapidly expanding the network.
