Tesla opens 60,000 square foot Service & Delivery Center in Port Coquitlam, grand opening party set for August 23

Tesla has officially expanded its footprint in British Columbia with the opening of a massive new 60,000-square-foot Sales, Service, and Delivery Center in Port Coquitlam.

The state-of-the-art facility, located at 1028 Nicola Avenue, is Tesla’s seventh location in the Greater Vancouver area and will be a key hub for the automaker’s Canadian operations.

The Port Coquitlam Service Center is not just another retail site. According to Tesla’s original proposal, the location will act as a terminal destination for vehicles shipped to Canada from both the United States and Shanghai. However, Tesla no longer imports vehicles from China, but has recently switched to importing Model Y from Germany for the first time. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to handle more than 75% of Tesla’s Canadian imports.

With approximately 650 parking spaces, the site will also function as a regional parts storage and distribution hub, ensuring faster repairs and deliveries for local customers.

According to Tesla’s website, the Port Coquitlam location is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m daily.

While this is now the largest Service Center in the Lower Mainland, it will soon be dwarfed by a site twice the size currently under construction just outside downtown Vancouver. Upon completion, that Service Center will be 120,000 square feet, making it the largest purpose-built Tesla site in North America.

Grand Opening Party on August 23

To mark the launch of Tesla Port Coquitlam, Tesla is inviting the public to celebrate at a grand opening event on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Guests at the Tesla Port Coquitlam event can:

  • Explore Tesla’s latest vehicle models, including opportunities for demo drives.
  • Take an exclusive tour of the new facility.
  • Enjoy live music, limited giveaways, and light refreshments.
  • Meet with Tesla Advisors, who will be available to answer questions about vehicles, charging, and ownership.

The event will take place at 1028 Nicola Avenue, Port Coquitlam, just off Lougheed Highway between Costco and Canadian Tire. Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP early to secure a spot.
