Tesla has partnered with Oona Insurance Philippines to offer a full year of complimentary comprehensive insurance for new Model Y owners, marking a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) market.
One Year of Coverage with Digital Convenience
Under the promotion, customers who purchase a Model Y between October 1 and November 26, 2025, will receive 12 months of free insurance coverage from Oona. The policy can be activated immediately upon vehicle delivery and includes access to Oona’s digital claims service and 24/7 roadside assistance. (via Insurance Asia)
Supporting the Shift to Electric Mobility
The partnership arrives amid growing EV adoption across the Philippines. According to data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), 18,439 EVs were sold in the first eight months of 2025—representing about 6% of total industry sales.
Tesla continues to dominate the battery-electric segment, accounting for more than 1,800 units sold during the same period, with the Model Y leading the pack.
