Tesla is once again turning to financing incentives in China, this time rolling out a five-year, 0% interest loan for its newly introduced Model Y L, alongside special low-rate financing offers for the Model 3 and other Model Y variants.
According to promotional material shared by Tesla China on Weibo, buyers who place an order for the Model Y L before January 31, 2026, can access a five-year, interest-free financing plan, with monthly payments starting as low as ¥3,985 (C$785/US$570), depending on configuration and down payment.
Tesla is also offering an alternative seven-year ultra-low interest plan, which further lowers monthly payments to ¥2,947 (C$580/US$420). The financing deal extends beyond the Model Y L, with Tesla also noting that Model 3 and other Model Y trims are also eligible for special low financing rates
The financing offer comes after Tesla had one of its strongest sales months in China in December, delivering more than 97,000 vehicles in the final month of the year. The strong performance helped push annual deliveries for 2025 at Giga Shanghai to around 851,000 units, which was a dip compared to 2024 but still accounted for more than half of Tesla’s global deliveries in 2025, which reached 1.64 million vehicles worldwide.
Against that backdrop, Tesla’s decision to roll out interest-free and ultra-low long-term financing on the Model Y L, Model Y, and Model 3 appears aimed at sustaining momentum into 2026 without triggering another round of direct price cuts.
This is also not the first financing promotion Tesla has rolled out in the new year. Buyers in Japan can finance Model 3 or Model Y vehicles at 0% interest for up to five years.
In Europe, Tesla is also offering a bonus worth up to C$6,900/US$5,050 when ordering a new Tesla and trading in their current car. The offer is available in the United Kingdom and several other European countries.
