Tesla offering two new incentives on inventory cars

Tesla has added more incentives to help boost sales for the end of the year, with the company offering two new perks when purchasing a car from existing inventory.

Tesla is well known for bringing in incentives near the end of a quarter, and especially near the end of a year, to help get as many cars out the door as possible. The company started early this Q4 with the introduction of 0% financing on Model 3 and Model Y. At first this incentive required the customer to purchase Full-Self Driving (FSD) to get the promotional rate, but that requirement was dropped less than two weeks later.

No-interest financing is also available in Canada, but as of now still requires the purchase of FSD.

Tesla has also introduced incentives in Europe, like free Supercharging for a year on Model Y purchases, and in China, offering customers the chance to win a trip to tour Giga Shanghai, with hotel and airfare included in the prize.

Now Tesla is offering a new incentive in Canada and the US. Customers buying a new Model S, Model 3, Model X, or Model Y from existing inventory will receive three months of free Supercharging and three months of FSD. The offer is also valid on the Cybertruck in the US, which recently appeared on existing inventory, but obviously not in Canada.

According to the terms of the deal posted on Tesla’s website, the offer is valid on deliveries from existing inventory before the end of the year, December 31, 2024.

Tesla has delivered 1,293,656 vehicles globally in the first three quarters of 2024, slightly down from 1,324,074 during the same period in 2023. Despite a general market slowdown, the company anticipates a record-breaking quarter for deliveries in Q4 2024, saying in its most recent shareholder deck that it expects to exceed 2023 deliveries, meaning the company is targeting to deliver around 515,000 vehicles in the final three months of the year.
