Tesla offering 3 month trial of FSD to new buyers in end-of-quarter push

In a sign that Tesla is doing all it can to reach 500,000 vehicle deliveries in 2020, the automaker is offering a 3 month trial of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) package to new buyers.

The offer was revealed by CEO Elon Musk on Twitter this afternoon, saying the order must be completed and all papers signed before midnight on December 31 to take advantage.

To reach their annual guidance of 500K vehicle deliveries, Tesla must deliver about 182,000 vehicles before the end of the year. If they are able to reach that number it would break their current quarterly record for deliveries by over 40,000, which was set in Q3 2020.

With just two days left in the year, your best chance of cashing in on this offer is to purchase a vehicle from Tesla’s existing inventory. There are dozens and dozens of new vehicles listed on Tesla’s website, including many brand new 2021 Model 3’s with all the new features of the recent refresh. The Model Y was also recently added to the existing inventory section of Tesla Canada’s website.

In addition to the FSD trial, Tesla is also offering new buyers 1 year of free Supercharging.

If you are a new owner who has taken delivery in the last few days, it might be worth emailing or phoning your Delivery Advisor to see if you can get this offer too. If anyone is successful, let us know in the comments below, or send us an email at tips@driveteslacanada.ca.
