Tesla offering 1 year of free Supercharging on Model Y in Europe

Tesla has introduced a new incentive to boost sales before the end of the year. This time the incentive is in Europe, and applies to new Model Y orders.

According to a post from the official Tesla Europe & Middle East account on X, the company is now offering one full year of free Supercharging for anyone who purchases and takes delivery of a Model Y before December 31, 2024.

Not only is Tesla attempting to boost year-end sales with this promotion, it is likely also been put in place to help clear out inventory ahead of the launch of the redesigned version of the Model Y. The update, referred to internally as ‘Project Juniper,’ is expected to incorporate updates introduced in the new Model 3. Based on sightings in the US, Europe, and China, the redesign will focus on refreshing the front and rear ends, and may even include a front bumper camera.

The Model Y has been a huge hit in Europe, frequently appearing at the top of the vehicle sales charts, both for Europe as a whole and individually across many countries in the region.

At the latest earnings call in October, Tesla projected continued growth in vehicle deliveries, targeting a record-breaking 515,000 deliveries in Q4 alone. If achieved, this would surpass the previous record of 484,507 deliveries set in Q4 of 2023, and push Tesla’s total deliveries beyond 1,800,000.
