Tesla Moves Closer to Launching FSD in Europe with Website Update

Tesla has taken a subtle but potentially major step toward expanding its autonomous driving technology in Europe. Over the weekend the company updated its regional websites to reflect the upcoming launch of Full Self-Driving (Supervised).

The updated page mirrors similar versions introduced earlier this month in Canada and the United States, showcasing key milestones and new regional content.

The update coincides with fresh signs that Tesla could begin rolling out FSD in Germany, the Netherlands, and Norway before the end of 2025.

The new FSD page provides some eye-catching statistics:

  • 3.8 billion miles driven using FSD (Supervised)
  • 54% safer than a human driver, based on Tesla fleet data
  • Trained on the equivalent of 100+ years of real-world driving
  • Tesla’s fleet processes a “lifetime of scenarios” in 10 minutes
  • FSD (Supervised) is now active in 4 countries, with more to follow

Tesla also reiterated its vision for FSD (Unsupervised), the next step toward fully autonomous driving and the eventual launch of its Cybercab robotaxi fleet.

European Roadblocks Remain

While Tesla’s ambitions are clear, regulatory approval remains the largest hurdle. The EU’s phased approval process (DCAS Phase 3) may leverage U.S. safety data to fast-track deployment, but final approval will depend on meeting stringent regional safety requirements. The Netherlands is expected to play a pivotal role as a testbed for broader EU adoption.

Another sign pointing to Tesla’s imminent release of FSD in Europe is the recent activity of its regional accounts on X, which have shared videos of FSD operating in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Paris (France), Rome (Italy), and Berlin (Germany).
